CONTENT

What will we cover live?

One hour of technical content organised into six blocks, plus a live practical demo.

01

Main sources of energy inefficiency

A review of the five loss categories (equipment, thermal processes, operations, facilities and distribution) with sector data and examples.

02

Indicators and variables for energy analysis

Electrical variables (voltage, current, active/reactive/apparent power, power factor), consumption variables and harmonic distortion variables.

03

Selecting energy analysers

Standard criteria to choose the right device: purpose of measurement, compatibility with the electrical system, parameters and accuracy (True RMS), and communication with the SCADA.

04

Integration architecture with the SCADA

How energy analysers connect with atvise® Connect and atvise® SCADA. Common industrial protocols: Modbus, OPC UA and DNP3.

05

Implementing the ISO 50001 standard

PDCA cycle steps with SCADA support: definition of the energy baseline (EnB), energy performance indicators (EnPI) and traceability for certification. The standard reports consumption reductions of 10% to 20%.

06

Resistance to change and building internal buy-in

The most common objections that arise when introducing an energy analysis project in an industrial organisation, and the technical and economic arguments to address them.

Who is this webinar for?

Designed for industrial professionals who need to reduce costs and improve the energy efficiency of their facilities.

01

Industrial engineers and technicians
Working with SCADA systems and looking to optimise energy consumption.

02

Maintenance and operations managers
In sectors such as energy, water, manufacturing and infrastructure.

03

System managers and integrators
Looking to incorporate energy analysis into their solutions.

Yes. Registration is free. We only need your email to send you the access link and, after the event, the supporting material.

Register anyway. All registrants will receive the recording by email after the event.

A browser and an internet connection. The session is delivered via Microsoft Teams Live, with no installation required.

Intermediate to advanced. We assume basic knowledge of SCADA, industrial automation or energy management. No prior experience with atvise® or programming is required.

Yes. We explain the steps to implement it with SCADA support, including the energy baseline (EnB), the energy performance indicators (EnPI) and the traceability required for certification with bodies such as AENOR or NQA.

Yes. The concepts on variables and analysis methodology are platform-agnostic. The architecture is shown with atvise® because it is our reference tool.

Yes. The last 10–15 minutes are reserved for live questions to the speakers.

It is a technical session with the Vester team covering the definition of data sources, process indicators, technical requirements, cost and ROI analysis, and a free trial period with the system. It is optional and with no commitment.
